How are others using text to speech?
Oxford City Council have links to our text to speech service on all their pages, making their content available for their stakeholders to listen to. This enables those who are visually impaired, dyslexic, or who have difficulty reading English, to access the website and all it has to offer.
The Department for Children Schools and Families also use our text to speech services on their Early Support website. As Early Support is concerned with support for disabled children, they know the importance of accessibility, and understand the importance of ensuring that their website is accessible for all.
Calibre Audio Library are a charity supplying books on tape and in MP3 format to the blind, visually impaired, and those who have difficulty with printed materials. Without the OXIL text to speech service, many of their members would not be able to access the site, but now they can browse books and manage their details online.
